Art therapy classes will be held in the Ivenets parishtranslated

July 22, 2026 · 1 min read

These July days, professional artists from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation are working on the territory of the Church of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk in the urban village of Ivenets, Volozhin district.

Master classes “Help me see the world” and “Magic drawing” with elements of art therapy for children with disabilities will be held under the guidance of painting masters. Painting classes are very important for disabled children who, due to their physical or psychological characteristics, have limited social contacts. Creative experience, self-awareness, and the development of new skills and abilities expand the range of their social and professional choices.

The events are taking place within the framework of the joint charity project “Artists - Dzetsyam Summer”, created in collaboration with the Belarusian Union of Artists with the blessing of Bishop Pavel of Molodechno and Stolbtsovsky.

Matthew YoungGood to see the kids getting a chance to paint and open up a bit. Those master classes like “Помоги увидеть мир” sound practical, especially for children who don't get out much. Hope the Belarusian and Russian artists keep it simple and fun for them.
