It's about time someone addressed this. I've been to a couple of churches in the Saratov area where the staff were downright rude, like they were doing you a favor by letting you light a candle. Good for the metropolitan for calling it out and actually doing something about it. Maybe now people won't feel like they're walking on eggshells just trying to pray.

It is true that in some churches people behave rudely as if they are doing you a favor. As a teacher, I have seen how a single smile and two kind words change the whole mood of the person who walks in. It is good that the metropolitan took measures instead of turning a blind eye.
