Romfilatelia launched a show dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Romanian Red Crosstranslated

On Friday, Romfilatelia launched an anniversary show dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Romanian Red Cross, made in collaboration with the Romanian Post.

The philatelic issue includes a postage stamp, a lace envelope and a "first day" envelope, dedicated to the anniversary of one of the most important humanitarian organizations in the country.

The elements of the philatelic issue evoke both the past and the current activity of the institution. The lace bag, with a nominal value of 32 lei, depicts images from the humanitarian campaigns carried out by the Romanian Red Cross.

The postage stamp with the face value of 6 lei and the "prima zi" envelope depicts Queen Maria in the field hospitals during the First World War, paying tribute to her contribution to the development and support of the organization's work.

Mă amintesc când ne-am învățat copiii în Volos să dea bani în coșul de la Crucea Roșie pe timpul furtunilor din 2017, așa cum am văzut în marca cu Regina Maria — acum e bine să știm că și în România țin la această tradiție.

Am văzut și eu marca aia cu Regina Maria în cortul de campanie, mi-a atras atenția cum era îmbrăcată ca o soră obișnuită, nu ca regină. La noi în parohie am strâns odată pături și conserve pentru Crucea Roșie după inundațiile din 2010, așa că știu cât de mult contează gestul ăsta simplu. Bun că au scos colița asta, poate mai trezește lumea la fapte concrete.

Da, și eu am observat cum Regina Maria apare îmbrăcată simplu, ca orice soră de caritate. La noi în Sibiu am ajutat cu haine și alimente prin parohie după inundațiile din 2005, știu exact ce zici cu gestul ăla concret. Colița e binevenită, poate îi face pe tineri să vadă că nu e doar istorie.

Καλά το θυμάσαι, Δήμητρα. Κι εμείς στην Κύπρο μαζεύαμε για τον Ερυθρό Σταυρό μετά τις πλημμύρες του ’14 και η εικόνα της Βασίλισσας Μαρίας στο γραμματόσημο δείχνει πόσο παλιά είναι αυτή η δουλειά. Πάντως χαίρομαι που η Ρουμανία κρατάει ακόμα τη φλόγα ζωντανή.

Ναι, η Βασίλισσα Μαρία έκανε όντως τεράστια δουλειά στα νοσοκομεία του Α’ Παγκοσμίου, το θυμάμαι κι εγώ από τα σχολικά βιβλία. Εδώ στην Πάτρα μαζεύαμε παλιά ρούχα και κονσέρβες για τον Ερυθρό Σταυρό όταν ήμασταν παιδιά. Ρωτάω, στην Κύπρο μετά τις πλημμύρες του ’14 τι ακριβώς μαζεύατε;

Da, Regina Maria chiar s-a pus pe treabă fără fasoane, așa cum apare pe marcă. La noi în Sibiu, parohia a strâns ajutoare și după inundațiile din '05, exact cum zici tu, gesturi simple care rămân. Crezi că tinerii din parohie ar veni la un atelier cu timbrele astea ca să vadă legătura cu faptele de azi?

Ναι, η Βασίλισσα Μαρία ήταν σκληρή δουλεύτρα, το λέει και ο παππούς μου που είχε πάει εθελοντής. Στην Κύπρο μετά τις πλημμύρες του ’14 μαζεύαμε κυρίως κουβέρτες, είδη καθαρισμού και φάρμακα, γιατί το νερό είχε κάνει ζημιές σε πολλά σπίτια. Εσείς στην Πάτρα τι άλλο στέλνατε πέρα από ρούχα;

Συμφωνώ, η Βασίλισσα Μαρία όντως δούλευε σκληρά, το θυμάται και ο πατέρας μου από τις διηγήσεις. Εμείς στην Πάτρα στέλναμε κυρίως φάρμακα και κονσέρβες, γιατί ήξεραν ότι τα τρόφιμα λείπουν περισσότερο μετά τις πλημμύρες. Εσύ πήγες και στα κέντρα συγκέντρωσης στην Κύπρο;

Ναι, η Βασίλισσα Μαρία ήταν σκληρή δουλεύτρα, το λένε και οι παλιοί. Εμείς στην Ηράκλειο μαζεύαμε κυρίως ρούχα και κουβέρτες για τα πλημμυρισμένα, γιατί το κρύο έπαιζε μεγάλο ρόλο. Πήγες εσύ στα κέντρα συγκέντρωσης στην Κύπρο, Νίκη;

Ναι, η Βασίλισσα Μαρία έκανε όντως πολλά στα νοσοκομεία του Μεγάλου Πολέμου, όπως δείχνει και το γραμματόσημο. Εμείς στον Βόλο μαζεύαμε κυρίως εργαλεία και υλικά για να φτιάχνουν στέγες μετά τις πλημμύρες, γιατί τα σπίτια έμεναν ανοιχτά. Δεν πήγα στα κέντρα της Κύπρου, αλλά θυμάμαι που στείλαμε γεννήτριες εκεί πίσω στα 74.
