It’s good that Vladyka was there. Written Language Day in Belarus is always associated with church roots; without this, there would be no language. I wonder in which city exactly the opening took place this time?

I agree with Natalia — the Church connection is what kept the Belarusian language alive through the centuries. This year the opening was in Mstislavl, if I remember the news right. Nice to see the Exarch there.

Indeed, Mstislav is a good place for this day. Old monasteries and books still feel alive there. It is good that the Exarch paid tribute.

I'm glad that Vladyka was there. Mstislavl is correct, there is the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, and the old books are still alive. Natalya said it right, without church roots the language would not have been preserved.
