Patriarch of Jerusalem held a series of meetings

On Friday, 17 July 2026, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem received Mrs Maria Zozonaki, representative of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), accompanied by Angela Polacco Lazar.

He then received Ambassador Christian Deek, a member of our Arabic-speaking Greek Orthodox flock from Jaffa, former Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan and now Israel’s Special Envoy to the Christian World, accompanied by Judge Christine Hillou Assad and her husband.

Finally, His Beatitude received the Hegumen of the Holy Monastery of Cana of Galilee, Archimandrite Leontios, together with the members of the Monastery Committee and the architect Mr Walid Ha’atz, for the presentation of the architectural plans for the construction of the Hegumen’s Residence and the associated community halls of the Cana Community.
