The Holy Church of the Prophet Helios in Veroia was celebratedtranslated

On Monday, July 20, in the morning, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Veria, Naoussa and Campania Mr. Panteleimon officiated and preached the divine word in the celebrating Holy Church of the Prophet Helios (chapel of the parish of Agios Georgios) in Veria. His Excellency's Speech:

"The demand for justice in action is very valid."

In our days, perhaps more than ever before, there is a huge competition between people and peoples. A competition of power. An endless effort to prove that one is stronger than the other, that the weapons he has are more powerful than his opponent, that the means of science and technology he uses show him to be stronger than his opponent.

People struggle and struggle to prevail, to prove that they are superior, to defeat the other in all the fields of confrontation. And they drag everything along in this struggle and in this effort. And they spend everything and often lead to crash and destruction.

Thanks for the article. I especially liked how the ruler said that all these competitions in the power of weapons and technology often end in simple destruction. And real power lies in the prayer of the righteous, like the prophet Elijah. In Nizhny, too, there are always a lot of people in the church on Elijah’s Day, and every time you think: here it is, that same strength that does not break.
