✤ Saint Martyr Christina of Tyre (3rd century AD) ✤

Saint Christina was born in the Phoenician city of Tire to the pagan ruler Urbanus. She did not know anything about Christ before the age of eleven. She was a brilliant girl. Her father did not want to reveal her beauty to the world, so he made her reside in the top floor of a high tower. Here, this story about St. Christina really touched me. Imagine that eleven-year-old child locked in a tower with idols, then he looks out the window at the sun and stars and thus comes to believe in the living God. After that, he breaks the idols - that's courage that one doesn't see every day. Thanks for sharing her life.

Yeah, that part with the girl in the tower got me thinking. At the age of 11, imprisoned with idols and gold, she looks at the sun and stars through the window and comes to faith in the living God. Then he crushes them - simply and boldly. Thanks for the text, the life of Saint Christina is always worth reading.
