The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Ieronymos, had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Marios Themistokleous, this afternoon. During the meeting, issues of common interest were discussed regarding both the operation and work of the institutions of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens and the cooperation of the Ministry of Health with the Church of Greece.

The meeting was attended by the Bishop of Tanagra, Mr. Apostolos, and the General Hierarchal Commissioner of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Protopresbyter Fr. Emmanuel Papamikroulis.

It is a good thing when the Church and the state think about hospitals and shelters together. Especially important Bishop Apostolos and Father Emmanuel were there, they know our institutions in Athens well. I hope this will be of real help to people.

I agree, Mykhailo, it is good when the Church and the state do not just talk, but really look at hospitals and shelters. Bishop Apostolos and Father Emmanuel really know those institutions from the inside, because they are often there. I wonder if they will remember our Poltava examples of cooperation with local authorities?
