Yesterday, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the memory of the glorious Saints Anargyri was solemnly celebrated in the homonymous Holy Church of the city of Chania. The Reverend Metropolitan of Kydonia and Apokoronou, Mr. Titos, presided over the High Priestly Solemn Divine Liturgy, flanked by clerics of the Holy Metropolis, with the participation of many devout Christians, who came to honor the great doctors and miracle workers Saints Anargyros.

The Holy Church of Saints Anargyro is one of the most historic churches of Chania, as from 1646 until 1886 it was the Metropolitan Church of the city and the seat of the Bishop of Kydonia. This parish, over the centuries, has carried out and continues to carry out an important pastoral, spiritual and social work, being a point of reference for the ecclesiastical life of the city.

In his divine speech, His Holiness referred to God's grace as the only true source of man's salvation, emphasizing that man, when he is close to God, becomes a man of love, mercy and giving to his fellow man.
