On the 6th september of the Chelopechensky manastir “Nativity of the Mother of God” bleaching 14th Week of the Pedigree Day with the bishop’s liturgy. The monastery has a centuries-old history, dating back to the Middle Ages, when it was destroyed and rebuilt in the 19th and 20th centuries.

With the blessing of Negovo, His Grace Metropolitan of Sofia and Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel served St. Liturgy, headed by Negovo, His Eminence of Branitsky, Bishop Ioan - vicar of the Metropolitan of Sofia. Also serving with him were the priest Peter Vasilev, the ephimerius of the manastir, and the deacon of Christ of Christ.

Bishop Ioan sent a sermon to the region for the Liturgy and gather all Christians, and speak clearly from the Gospel today from the parable of the Holy Supper, and say:

The choir from Sofia really made the service special. Bishop Ioan's sermon on the Parable of the Great Supper and those words from St. John Chrysostom about God's generosity hit home—many are called, few chosen. Nice to see the old monastery keeping its rhythm after all those centuries of rebuilds.
