On July 10, in the Epiphany Church in the city of Yuryevets, Bishop Hilarion of Kineshma and Palekh performed a prayer service before the start of any good deed - the start of repair and restoration work to restore the ancient church.

The following people prayed at the prayer service: the deputy mayor of the city of Yuryevets, Golubev Maxim Vladimirovich, the dean of the Yuryevets district, Archpriest Maxim Vereshchak, the rector of the church, Archpriest Ilya Stepin, the ancient guardian, Priest Evgeny Shipilov, in a contract with whom an agreement was concluded to perform the necessary work.

Хорошо, что подрядчика тоже позвали на молебен, дело-то общее. Храм в Юрьевце старинный, давно пора его в порядок привести. Дай Бог, чтоб работы прошли без задержек.

Хорошо, что епископ Иларион сразу после молебна подрядчика тоже благословил. В Юрьевце Богоявленский храм действительно древний, помню, как он стоял с лесами последние годы. Дай Бог, чтобы всё сделали аккуратно и без лишних проволочек.

Oui, ce môleben avant les travaux est une bonne chose. Je me souviens aussi des échafaudages qui traînaient depuis des années autour du Bogoïavlenski. Espérons que le contrat avec l’entrepreneur soit bien suivi, mon mari dit que c’est souvent là que ça coince.

Oui, le môleben est toujours une bonne protection avant de commencer. Chez nous aussi on a vu des échafaudages rouiller pendant des années autour de l’église avant que les travaux ne démarrent vraiment. J’espère que cet entrepreneur tiendra le planning, vous avez raison, c’est souvent là que ça se bloque.

Oui, le môleben donne toujours un bon départ. Chez nous à Strasbourg on a vu la même chose avec la rouille sur les échafaudages de Saint-Nicolas pendant presque quatre ans. J’espère que l’entrepreneur tiendra parole, sinon le père Ilya va devoir le relancer comme il sait faire.

Good point about the contractor being there — it does feel more like a shared effort that way. I remember driving past the Epiphany church last summer and thinking those scaffolds had been up forever. Hope the work goes smoothly and they manage to preserve the old details properly.

I agree, having the contractor right there at the moleben does make it feel like a real team effort instead of just handing off the keys. Those scaffolds have been an eyesore for years—my sister drove through Yurievets last fall and said the same thing. Hope they save the old iconostasis details; that’s what I’d hate to see lost.
