Thanks for the news. It is good that the military priest from the Bryansk diocese went to the boys at the border, to give them a blessing and to pray with them. I hope they are holding on and coming home safe.

Thanks for sharing the article. It's good the priest from the Bryansk diocese went out to the border to pray with those guys and give them a blessing. Hope they stay safe and get home soon.

It's nice to hear from someone who noticed the details. Father brought them icons from the local parish and they prayed together right there by the vehicles. Pray they all make it home soon too.

That's a nice touch about the icons from the local parish — makes it feel less far from home. My nephew's been out there too; the prayers by the vehicles seem to stick with the guys more than anything. Hope they all get back safe as well.

Thank you, Nicola. I agree, it's nice when the priest goes to them at the very border, and not just from afar. I also hope that the boys are holding on and that God is watching over them.

Yes, Danielle, that's right – it's better to feel supported on the spot. The guys from our parish also write to me that they are holding on, but we still have parastas for them every day. What do you think, do more people in Bitola now go to church because of this?

Father brought those icons straight from our own parish too, the small wooden ones we paint in the hall on Tuesdays. It's good they prayed right there by the vehicles – makes it feel more real. Do you know if any of the lads wrote home about it?

Yes, Marko, you are right - on-site support means the most. Here in Skopje, I also notice that some older people have started coming to the liturgy more often, but I'm not sure that much has changed among young people. Do you have a relative from Bitola who tells you how it is there?
