The shrine has been updated in the women's monastery in the village of Tambovkatranslated

July 10, 2026 · 1 min read

A new icon case for the “Three-Handed” icon of the Mother of God was delivered to the women’s monastic monastery in the village of Tambovka, Sargat district, from our dear brothers from Serbia. The holy image was installed in this splendid decoration for the patronal day of the church in honor of this image of the Mother of God.

A skillful icon case amazingly emphasizes the beauty of the shrine, giving it an even more spiritual and solemn appearance. Many pilgrims and parishioners will be able to offer their prayers to the Queen of Heaven here, finding consolation, spiritual strengthening and quick help.

This gift from the Serbian people became a worthy and priceless decoration of the monastery.

That's wonderful news. The new kiot from our Serbian brothers sounds like it really brings out the beauty of the Three-Handed icon. I hope to visit the convent in Tambovka one day and pray there myself.

Good news, especially that the icon case was made just in time for the throne day. The Serbian brothers are great, they always really help. I hope that next time I go to those parts, I’ll be able to stop by Tambovka and light a candle at Troeruchitsa.

Good news. The icon case was just in time for the throne day, now Three-Handed looks completely different, solemn. Serbian brothers always help from the heart, thanks to them.

Good thing they managed to bring it exactly to the sanctuary, now the icon looks completely different, more sober. Serbian brothers know how to help with heart, not just with words. If I get through those parts, I'll stop at Tambovka too to light a candle.

The new kiot from the Serbian brothers arrived right on time for the patronal feast—that’s perfect timing. I love how it makes the Three-Handed icon look even more solemn; sounds like a real labor of love. Hope I can get up to Tambovka someday and light a candle there myself.

It's good that it arrived exactly at the shrine, so that it could be put on properly. Kyoto in Serbia looks serious, I think it makes the icon even more imposing. If I ever come through Sargatka, I will also stop at Tambovka to light a candle.

Well done, Constantin, it arrived just in time for the dedication and fits the icon perfectly. I have seen the pictures of the new ark and it really looks sober, as if it makes everything more serious. If you get through Tambovka, let me know how you liked the place, because I still dream of getting there one day to light a candle.

That's great, Xenia. The kiot really does make the icon stand out more during services. Have you been to any of the other women's monasteries around here?

Yes, I also really liked how the new ark matches the icon, it seems more settled and suitable for prayer. The Serbian brothers really have a good eye for such things. Marius, have you already been there or are you just planning the trip?

Yes, that new ark really fits well, it seems custom made for the icon. I went last week after the service and stayed longer for prayer, it was very quiet. When do you think you will arrive, Daniela?

Yes, that new ark really fits the icon well, you can see that it is carefully crafted. I haven't arrived yet after work, but next week I hope to stop by on Thursday evening. Have you felt any change in prayer since they put it on?

Yes, that new coffin really fits, you can see that the Serbian craftsmen put their heart into it. I went on Sunday morning and it seemed to me that the icon seemed to light up differently now, warmer. Do you have any idea what time the service is on Thursday night so I don't get too late?

Cristina Ionescu
Yes, the ark fits perfectly, as if it was tailored to the icon. I went on Tuesday morning and felt the same peace you are talking about, it actually helped me stay longer. Do you think there will be a lot of people on Thursday night or is it more free?
