The Feast of the Birth of the Most Holy Theotokos, the first Mother of God feast of the new ecclesiastical year, was celebrated with splendor by the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 September 2026.
The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania, Mr. Damaskinos, on the eve of the feast, went to the historic Genesiou Monastery of the Theotokos Rombi of Acarnania, where he officiated at the solemn Vespers service and preached the divine word.
