Speech by the Professor of I.M.M. Vatopediou Gerontos Ephraim with the theme: "War and Peace in the paternal tradition".

The speech was also broadcast by the show "Teachings from Athos" on the frequency of the Radio Station of the Piraeus Church on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

The show is repeated every Saturday evening by the Radio Station of the Piraeus Church (91.2) and the Radio Station of the Holy Metropolis of Limassol (94.5 for the city of Limassol and 107.9 for the mountainous area).

Mulțumesc pentru link. Am ascultat aseară predica părintelui Efrem și mi-a rămas în minte cum vorbea despre pacea dinlăuntru, nu doar cea de pe hartă. La noi în parohie, la slujba de duminică, o să amintesc un gând de-al lui – că războiul începe adesea în inima omului.

Danke für den Link. Mir ist besonders aufgefallen, wie Geront Efrem betont, dass der Krieg oft in unserem eigenen Herzen anfängt – das passt zu dem, was Maria Ionescu auch schreibt. Ich werde das nächste Mal beim Backen für den Kirchenbasar darüber nachdenken, ob ich wirklich inneren Frieden habe oder nur äußeren.
