Scholarship of Archon Hymnodos Georgios Hatzichronogloutranslated

The Cathedral Holy Church of Panagia Faneromenis Cholargos, with feelings of human sorrow and pain, announces the ecdimiation to the Lord of the late Protopsaltos Georgios Hatzichronoglou, Lord Hymnologist of the Holy Church of Christ. The late Protopsaltis graced the sacred lectern of the Holy Church from the year 1998 until today. He served with reverence, consistency and deep knowledge of church music, leading the churchgoers to rapture and heart-felt prayer. He raised many young people to the psalter, to praise God next to him, who later became handsome cantors in various Holy Churches throughout Greece. At the Parish Spiritual Center of the Cathedral, he taught Byzantine music lessons, held rehearsals with the Byzantine Choir of Athens and founded the "Mathimatarion", postgraduate seminar courses in the art of singing.
