I am glad that he received Mrs. Ambassador Irene Riga and Consul Dimitrios Angelosopoulos. It is good that Patriarch Theofilos spoke to them about the work of the Patriarchate in Jordan and Palestine, especially since my grandparents were pilgrims there once. Did he mention anything specific about the projects in Qatar?

I am also glad that he received Mrs. Riga, especially since she talked about everything that the Patriarchate is doing in Jordan and Palestine. It doesn't say anything concrete about Qatar in the announcement, but I know that some work started there on a small chapel two years ago. Did your grandparents go all the way to Sinai or did they just stop at the Holy Places?

The Patriarch did a good job explaining the full scope of the work—Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Sinai and even Qatar. I remember reading about that small chapel project starting in Doha a couple years back; glad it got a mention. Interesting that the Greek ambassador came with the consul from Jerusalem.
