Bishop Timotei participated in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to diplomatic relations between Romania and Spaintranslated

The Most Reverend Father Timotei, Bishop of Spain and Portugal, participated on Wednesday in the event dedicated to the anniversary of 145 years of diplomatic relations between Romania and the Kingdom of Spain, organized in El Retiro Park in Madrid.
The event included the opening of the exhibition "Romania-Spain relationship reflected in the press. A bilateral historical perspective", carried out by the Embassy of Romania in the Kingdom of Spain and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Madrid, with the support of the National Press Agency Agerpres.
Images with press articles and archival documents showing the evolution of relations between the two states, from the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1881 to the present, were exhibited.
"The presence of the Romanian hierarch at this event emphasized the support of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of Spain and Portugal for the initiatives that promote Romanian cultural and historical values and strengthen the ties between Romania and the Kingdom of Spain," the diocese said.
