The Vasiliada Association carried out the humanitarian campaign "I have a backpack!" I'm going to school!"translated

Simple gestures, made from the heart, can change the beginning of a school year and bring light into children's souls. On the eve of the new school year, with the blessing of His Holiness Dr. Irineu, the Archbishop of Craiova and the Metropolitan of Oltenia, the Vasiliada Association carried out the "I have a schoolbag! I'm going to school" Campaign. Several children from Godeni Parish, Melinești commune, Sopot commune, Seaca de Pădure and Craiova received schoolbags prepared with care and love, filled with the necessary supplies for school, and at the beginning of the week, schoolbags will also be distributed in the towns of Botoșești - Paia and Bratovoești.

But beyond the supplies, these backpacks carried with them something much more important: care for the children, solidarity and the desire to tell them that they are not alone and that people are thinking of them. The gifts were offered through the generosity and involvement of the Parish of Sfântul Gheorghe Vechi - Rev. Târlea Bogdan Constantin - Parish Priest, the Parish of Gherceștii Noi - Rev. It's good that these ghiozdans went to children from Godeni, Melinești and Sopot - specific places where probably not everyone has everything at hand. It's nice to see that the parishes, together with priests Târlea and Grozoiu, mobilized themselves and that these young people helped. May the children learn well.

It's nice to read that the children from Godeni, Melinești and Sopot are now getting real stuffed Ghiozdane. I particularly like that the two priests Târlea and Grozoiu did this together with their congregations and the young people helped. Hopefully the remaining bags in Botoșești-Paia and Bratovoești will arrive soon before school starts.

It’s good that ghiozdanele went specifically to Godeni, Melinești and Sopot - places where not all families can easily get their children ready for school. Well done to Fathers Târlea Bogdan Constantin and Grozoiu Marian for organizing this together with parishioners and youth. Let the children have enough of everything at least for the first time.

It's good that the ghiozdans went to children from Godeni, Melinešti and Sopot, where families often save every dinar for school. Thanks to Father Târle Bogdan and Father Grozoi Marian for taking the parishes and those young people, it's the right thing. Let it serve them until the end of the first semester.

Yes, in those villages every dinar counts, I remember how we used to save for notebooks. Thanks to Father Bogdan and Father Marian for starting these young people, it is really useful. Will there be another sale before winter, maybe for shoes or jackets?
