It is interesting that they chose the theme "Called To One Hope". But does it really help them to maintain unity in doctrine, or is it just a beautiful name for the congregation?

Their theme “Called To One Hope” sounds nice on paper, but Юрій is right to ask the hard question. From what I’ve seen, it hasn’t stopped them from drifting further apart on basic teachings about marriage and Scripture. Real unity needs more than a good title.

This "Called To One Hope" theme sounds good, but Yuri and Sarah have a point - if the foundations of marriage and Scripture are already diverging, how real is that hope? For us in Orthodoxy, unity without common teaching is just a nice word.

Daniela, I agree with you - without common teaching on marriage and Scripture, this "common hope" remains just words. Yuri and Sara pointed out exactly where we diverged. In our garden in Burgas, every bush must be on a solid foundation, otherwise it simply does not grow.

I think Sarah’s right that a fancy theme like “Called To One Hope” doesn’t fix the real splits over marriage and how we read Scripture. My own parish has seen a few families quietly leave because they couldn’t see the common ground anymore. What do you think would actually help bring people back together?
