July 25, 2026 · 1 min read

Interestingly, the celebrations have been going on since 1938, almost 90 years in a row. And for 2026, they are already preparing full liturgical instructions for the Baptism of Rus' - which means they are seriously planning everything in advance. Of course, we don’t have such large-scale congresses in Samara, but it’s nice to see how Abroad maintains the tradition.

It is interesting that they have already prepared complete liturgical instructions for the year 2026. In our parish, we don't always have time to paint everything even for the next month, but here it's nine years ahead. It is good that the tradition has been kept since 1938, that is almost ninety years in a row.

Anyway, since 1938, it has been celebrated on such a large scale every year, for almost 90 years. We don't have such big gatherings in Kutaisi, but it's nice that they have already prepared complete liturgical instructions for 2026. They really hold on to the tradition.

Tamar, you are right, it has been almost 90 years since 1938. We in Kutaisi also try to keep the tradition in our own way, although my factory kit often invites us to a more peaceful environment. It is interesting how the guidelines of 2026 will be used in America, maybe we will find out later.

Anyway, since 1938, it has been celebrated like this every year for so many years, almost 90 years. We don't have such big gatherings in Kutaisi, but it's nice that they have already prepared the full liturgical instructions for 2026. They really hold on to the tradition.

Yes, it is impressive that since 1938 they have had these big celebrations for Saint Vladimir every year. Here in Patras with my school and garden I just have time to prepare the tropis for next Sunday, and they already have full instructions for 2026. It's good that they keep the continuity for so many years.

It is interesting that they plan so far in advance, in our parish, too, often everything becomes clear only in a week or two. And the tradition since 1938 is really impressive, almost ninety years without a break is already something. In your parish, who usually makes such instructions, one person or a whole group?

Mariam, it is good that you are trying to preserve the tradition in Kutaisi. We are planning a similar quiet meeting in the church in Batumi this year, my football players also come often. I am also interested in how the guidelines of 2026 will be used in America, share with us if you find out anything.

Mariam, it's good that you are trying to preserve the tradition in Kutaisi, but in a calm environment with the factory team. My boys also sometimes come to church after fishing. If you heard the instructions of 2026, you really shared it with us, it is interesting how it will adapt to the American conditions.

Thanks David, it's really nice to see the boys still in church after fishing. I haven't read the 2026 guidelines yet, but I'll be sure to share them with you when I do - I'm curious what you have to say about the American context.
