Patriarch Daniel: Saint Elias Tesvitean, mysterious harbinger of the work of Christ the Redeemer (Full text)translated

Blessed Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, spoke on Monday, at the Chapel "Saint Hierarch Grigorie the Illuminator, Saint Prophet Elijah the Tesvitean and Saint Venerable Daniil the Hermit" of the Patriarchal Residence, about the Holy Prophet Elijah Tesvitean as a "mysterious harbinger of the work of Christ the Redeemer".

"Although the Holy Prophet Ilia Tesvitean did not leave written prophecies, like other prophets, the wonderful works he performed secretly foreshadowed the future works of the Lord Jesus Christ".

His Beatitude recalled that "in Romania, the Holy Prophet Ilie Thesvitean is the protector of aviators, energy workers and farmers. In the Romanian people there are many churches dedicated to the Holy Prophet Ilie Thesvitean, because he is considered a quick helper to orphans, widows and poor people who are in difficult situations".

Patriarch Daniel wished those celebrating their name day "many years with health and help from God".
