Patriarch Theodore welcomes Archbishop of Panama to Alexandria

The Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa welcomed Roman Catholic Archbishop José Domingo Ulloa Mendieta of Panama on Sunday, June 14, during his pilgrimage visit to Alexandria accompanied by a group of twenty pilgrims from Panama.
Earlier in the day, Archbishop Ulloa and his delegation attended the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Monastery of Saint Savvas in Alexandria, presided over by Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa.
The visitors were subsequently received at the Patriarchal headquarters, where they toured the historic premises of the Patriarchate and were introduced to the history of the Apostolic Throne of Saint Mark, as well as its extensive missionary, charitable, and spiritual work throughout Africa.
During the official reception, Patriarch Theodore warmly welcomed Archbishop Ulloa, expressing his joy at receiving him in Alexandria only a few months after his own official visit to Panama. He thanked the Archbishop for his friendship toward the Greek community in Panama and for his close cooperation with Metropolitan Iakovos of Mexico.
