Let God be in His Kingdom. I remember how "Skopelitis" arrived in the small islands and in bad weather - people waited on the pier and calmed down just by seeing the ship. God bless Captain Janis, he was a great man.

May God have him in heaven. I also remember the "Skopelitis" that reached the small islands even in bad weather, as if it were a lifeline. Captain Giannis really left a mark, as the despot said.

I also remember it from the stories of my uncle who sailed on the same lines. "Scopellitis" was really like a lifeboat for the people of Lesser Cyclades, especially in winter time. God forgive him, such a captain is rarely born.

Yes, your uncle is right - and I have heard from people of Amorgos that the Scopellitis came at the worst of times, when the other ships were not moving. God forgive him, such a man leaves a mark. From what years do you remember your uncle's stories?
