Yes, exactly. I, too, in the summer after a session and working in a store, simply passed out, and the psalms helped more than any breathing practices. But “mindfulness” never lingered in me, my thoughts still ran wild. What psalm resonated with you the most then?

Yes, Svetlana, after long shifts behind the wheel in the summer, my thoughts are like flies in my head. Psalm 90 was especially catchy then - “living under the roof of the Most High”, directly about fatigue and protection. And mindfulness didn’t stick with me at all, I was just wasting my time.

Yes, after such a race with a newspaper, a club and part-time jobs in the summer, you definitely pass out. After the school year, with the children at school and in the garden, psalms also helped me the best, especially the 90th, as Georgy wrote. And mindfulness didn’t take root with me at all; my thoughts still scattered around the beds and lessons.

Yes, George, Psalm 90 often helps me out when my legs ache after a long walk in the park. I haven’t tried mindfulness at all - I think it’s easier to light a candle and read the Lord’s Prayer than to sit and “seize the moment.” What other psalm helps you after such shifts?

Yeah, Psalm 23 hits different when you're running on fumes. I tried one of those mindfulness apps last winter after pulling doubles at the shop and it lasted about four days before I was just stressing about cookie dough temperatures instead. What verse in it keeps bringing you back?

Yeah, Psalm 23 is the one that keeps pulling me back too, especially the part about Him making me lie down in green pastures.
