Orthodox Youth Meeting in Syriatranslated

The Orthodox Youth Meeting of the Patriarchate of Antioch took place at the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of Agios Georgios (Al-Humairah). The first day of the "Ana Icon" meeting began with the participation of about 80 young men and women from the various Holy Metropolises of Syria.

The day started with the reception, which brought in its details a clear message, which confirms that the preparations are completed with the presence of the young people as the foundation of the meeting.

The participants then had a tour of the Holy Monastery, which (tour) was followed by the spiritual opening of the meeting at the Vespers Service, and which (initiation) was followed by the official opening.

His Eminence the Patriarchal Commissioner, Bishop Mr. Romanos (Al-Hannat), presented the purpose of the ongoing Patriarchal meetings with the blessing of the Patriarch Mr. John I'.

Хорошо, что молодёжь из разных митрополий Сирии собралась именно в монастыре святого Георгия в Аль-Хумайре. Интересно, какие именно свидетельства предыдущих участников они слушали — наверное, это самое живое, что остаётся на годы. Жаль, текст обрывается на группах, хотелось бы узнать, что они там обсуждали вечером.

Schön, dass die jungen Leute aus den verschiedenen Metropolen Syriens sich gerade im Kloster des Heiligen Georg in Al-Humayra treffen. Die Zeugnisse der früheren Teilnehmer klingen wirklich wie das, was am längsten bleibt. Schade, dass der Bericht bei den Gruppen abbricht – wäre interessant gewesen, was die Delegationen am Abend genau erzählt haben.
