K. Tasoulas: "Greece will continue to stand by Ukraine"translated

The President of the Republic Konstantinos An. Tasoulas participated, online, in the 5th Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit, held yesterday, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Kyiv. The intervention of Mr. Tasoula follows:

"Dear Volodymyr, Dear colleagues,

Thank you, Volodymyr, for inviting me to join you today. I am particularly pleased to be participating in this Summit, albeit online. Unfortunately, I had to stay in Greece due to urgent obligations.

Allow me, first of all, to express my warmest wishes to you and to the Ukrainian people on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. It's about celebrating your nation's history, identity and resilience.

Unfortunately, this year's holiday event is taking place at yet another difficult time.

The latest wave of attacks against civilian targets in Kiev is completely unacceptable. These deliberate attacks on innocent civilians are a painful reminder of the devastating human cost of Russia's war of aggression.
