New Deacon in the Holy Metropolis of Kydonia and Apokoronoutranslated

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the ordination of Mr. Georgios Papadakis to the Holy Parish Church of Apostolos Pavlos Vatolakkos - Skonizos Kydonias took place with the participation of a large number of believers. The Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kydonia and Apokoronou, Mr. Titos, who also performed the ordination of the new cleric, in the presence of clergy, the local authorities and a crowd of devout Christians.

The new Deacon comes from Vatolakkos Kydonias, he is married and the father of three children.

During his speech, His Holiness referred to the importance of priestly ministry, underlining that the call to the Church is a ministry of love, sacrifice and humility. He made special reference to the need for the Church to highlight worthy and qualified executives, who will serve with ecclesiastical attitude, faith and consistency the fullness of the Church.
