Agios Paisios was celebrated in the Diocese of Maroneiatranslated

July 13, 2026 · 1 min read

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, the eve of the feast of our Holy Father Paisios, the Solemn Vespers Service was held, in the Holy Chapel of Agios Paisios of Agioreitos, in the courtyard of the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos Komotini. Immediately after the end of the Solemn Vespers, the Holy Vigil was held in the aforementioned Holy Chapel.

His Holiness was represented by the Archpriest of the Holy Metropolis. Anthimos Kostarakis, who in his speech, conveying the wishes of His Eminence, emphasized that Saint Paisios, like all the Saints of our Church, were people who, with the holiness of their lives, inspired not only those who were close to them, but also all of us, as with their love and the example of their lives, they still visit us today.
