Meeting of the Archbishop with the President of the Hellenic Statistical Authoritytranslated

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Ieronymos, had a meeting with the President of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), Mr. Athanasios Katsi, today at noon. His Beatitude welcomed Mr. Katsis and his entourage to the Archbishop's Palace, where they had the opportunity to discuss at length various matters of common interest.

On the occasion of the meeting, the pivotal role of ELSTAT, which carries out its work following the highest international standards, was underlined. The Authority's aim remains to always operate with absolute independence, to produce valid statistics useful for public policy and the economy, to constantly gain the trust of users for the reliability of its data and to unreservedly protect the confidentiality of the confidential information provided to it by citizens, households and businesses.
