Karoti Evrou becomes a point of reference for the Thracian tradition – Museum the School attended by Aidonidis and Doitsidistranslated

The signing of a Cultural Development Program Agreement between the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Didymoteicho was recently announced, for the conversion into a Museum of the inactive school unit in the settlement of Karotis, the special homeland of the great Thracian performers of the tradition, Chronis Aidonidis and Karyofyllis Doitsidis, where a space dedicated to the preservation and promotion of our musical and folkloric heritage is being created. This new cultural structure aspires to be a point of reference for Thracian tradition, honoring the great cultural legacy left by these leading artists, keeping their memory and work alive for future generations.

On the occasion of this pleasant development, on Sunday 5th of Matthew, the 5th of July, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestia and Soufli Mr. Damaskinos visited Karoti and officiated at the Holy Parish Church of Agios Georgios.
