Inauguration of the Folklore Museum of N. Vyssatranslated

The opening sequence of the Folklore Museum of Nea Vyssa, which took place on the evening of July 23, 2026, was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestias and Soufli, Mr. Damascenes, who in his short speech, among other things, emphasized: "...If Noah's Ark saved life, the Folklore Museum that we inaugurate today keeps alive the memory of an entire village and becomes the bridge that unites the past with the present and the future of this place...". The Folklore Museum of Nea Vyssa is housed in the emblematic house "Godosi", of the priests Chr. Godosi (father) and Dim. Godosis (son), which was kindly donated by their family to the "Stefanos Karatheodoris" Cultural Association of Nea Vyssa, which undertook and supervised the restoration and arrangement of the Museum's premises and the display of its exhibits.
His Eminence, following his greeting, congratulated the President of the active Cultural Association, educator Chr. Stefanakidis and all the members not only because the whole project "came to a happy end" but also because of their young age, their good mood and their love for their country...
