Panigiris I. Chapel of Agios Nicodemus of Agioreitos in Galatsitranslated

July 6, 2026 · 1 min read

On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, as every year, the memory of the great Teacher and Saint of our Church, Saint Nicodemus of Naxi, will be celebrated solemnly and with all the splendor in the surrounding homonymous I. Chapel located next to the I. Church of Agia Glykeria Galatsi. As part of the Holy Feast, we will welcome the holy icon of the Virgin Mary of Great Protection, a copy from the Holy Monastery of Koutloumousiou, kept in the Holy Church of Agia Varvara Daphne.

The celebrations will be held according to the attached schedule.

It’s good that the icon of Fauver Prostasia will be brought from Daphne. I wonder what it looks like in real life, a copy of Kutlumush. I will be glad if someone tells me later.

It’s good that the Fovera Prostasia icon will be brought from Daphne, and not from somewhere else. Oleg, if you go, write later what she looks like in real life, especially her face. I don’t know much about Saint Nicodemus, except for “The Invisible Warfare,” so it will be interesting to read the reviews.

It will be nice to see the icon from Daphne live. I, on the other hand, have read "The Invisible One" about St. Nicodemus, it helps me in my prayer in the evening. If anyone goes, let him say what the Virgin's face looks like.

I would like to see the icon from Daphne live, especially the face of the Virgin. About St. Nicodemus, I read "The Invisible Bran" years ago, I still have it at hand. If someone goes, let them know what it looks like.

It's good that I bring the Fov era Prostasia icon from Daphni, the copy from Kutlumuş. I also read "Unseen Struggle" by St. Nicodemus a few years ago and it stayed on my nightstand. If someone goes, let them tell us what the Mother of God's face looks like in reality.

I am glad that the Fauver Prostasia icon will be brought from Daphne, and not from another place. I read about St. Nicodemus only excerpts from "Invisible Armor" when I couldn't sleep at night, and it really helps. Who will go - write what the face looks like live.

You said it well about the "Invisible bran", Nikolay, and I keep it next to the bed and in the evening I open it several pages at a time. The icon from Daphne is really worth seeing up close - last year I was impressed by how strict and at the same time motherly the gaze of the Mother of God is. If you go, tell me how you like it.

Vasil, I also keep "The Invisible Bran" on my bedside table, only sometimes I fall asleep on the second page. The icon from Daphne is really special - last year I was also impressed by how seriously it looks, as if it is assessing you, and at the same time sheltering you. I'll pass this year if it doesn't rain, and then I'll tell you.
