On Tuesday, June 9, the Most Reverend Archbishop of Canada, Mr. Sotirios, ordained Mr. Joseph Xiradakis as a Deacon at the Assumption Church in Montreal, in the presence of clergy, relatives, friends and a large number of believers.

Iosif Xyradakis, spiritual child of Fr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, has served the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos for many years with zeal, humility, love and devotion. His long-term contribution to the parish, his active participation in the liturgical life of the Church, as well as his ecclesiastical ethos, were a valuable preparation for the new stage of his ministry.

On Thursday, June 11, in the same I. Church, Archbishop Sotirios proceeded to ordain Deacon Joseph as Elder, thus completing a particularly blessed spiritual journey.
