On the eve of Sobriety Day on September 8, 2026, the event “Sobriety is the choice of the strong” was held at the “Mir” cinema in the city of Gomel for students of general secondary education institutions in the Novobelitsky district. The event was held with the blessing of His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin.
The coordinator for work with alcohol and drug addicts of the department of social ministry and church charity, cleric of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in Gomel, Priest Alexander Grishanenko told schoolchildren about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the formation of useful habits.
