On September 7, the head of the Western Vicariate, Archbishop Thomas of Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk, visited the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and presented church awards to its employees.

It’s good that Vladyka Thomas personally came and rewarded the people. I wonder who exactly was noted - teachers or staff? Nowadays such visits are important.

It's good that Archbishop Foma came personally and not just sent someone with the prizes. I wonder if the winners included tactics lecturers, because they probably work most with young officers. In any case, such meetings build bridges.

It's good the archbishop went himself instead of sending a representative. I wonder if any of the awards went to the instructors who train the young officers, like Katarzyna mentioned. Those personal visits do seem to matter more than paperwork.
