SIRC Launches Planning Study; Appoints Program and Marketing Coordinator

Kansasville, WI, May 21, 2026  – The Saint Iakovos Retreat Center (SIRC) today announced two initiatives intended to strengthen responsible operations and support long term planning at the Retreat Center: the launch of a comprehensive facility and reserve study and the appointment of a new Program and Marketing Coordinator.

As part of the broader discernment process underway within the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago regarding the future of the Retreat Center, SIRC has engaged the independent consulting firm  Reserve Advisors   to conduct a Property Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) and Reserve Study. The study will provide an objective evaluation of SIRC’s buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and long-term capital needs.

Once completed, the assessment will produce a detailed asset inventory, maintenance recommendations, prioritized project planning, and financial forecasting tools to help leadership better understand both current operational realities and future stewardship needs. The study is expected to conclude in late June.
