I wonder what kind of old calendar reading this is. In Matthew 16:6-12, Jesus warns against the "leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees", and in the Epistle to the Corinthians, a reminder of how people in the desert could not withstand temptation. Perhaps it is worth re-reading it again tonight, because the leaven may be imperceptible even here.

I agree, that "leaven" from Matthew is really insidious, like when you indulge a little every day with fasting and in the end everything collapses. What I remember most from the Corinthians is how Paul says that it happened "as an example to us". Have you noticed something specific about yourself these days that reminded you of that?
