Origen (185-253) is one of the greatest geniuses of ancient Christianity. Trained in Alexandria, student of Clément, he united intellectual rigor and radical asceticism. Theologian, exegete and philosopher, he founded the allegorical and spiritual method of reading the Bible. Interestingly, Origen was a student of Clement in Alexandria and already with him he began to combine philosophy and asceticism. It's a pity that only a fragment of the text remains, I'm really interested in how they later viewed his interpretation of the Bible through allegory. Thanks for the reminder, I need to pick up one of his books.

Yes, I remember that Origen studied with Clement in Alexandria, and this combination of philosophy and asceticism was the basis of his work. I regret that the text is cut off, especially because I want to know how his Allegorical method of interpreting the Bible affected the fathers who came after him. Thanks for the reminder, I will try to find a book “On Principles” to read.
