PS Teofil Trotusanul: Man is called to choose communion with Godtranslated

Most Reverend Father Teofil Trotușanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău, spoke on Sunday about the choice of communion with God in the sermon delivered at the Sihăstria Râșcai Monastery in Suceava county, where he officiated the Holy Liturgy and ordained a hierodeacon.

The hierarch celebrated the Holy Liturgy together with a council of clerics, in the presence of the monastic community and the faithful.

During the service, the monk Casian Biriș was ordained a hierodeacon on behalf of the Părhăuți Monastery from the Archdiocese of Suceva and Rădăuţi.

In his sermon, the Most Reverend Father Theophilus spoke about the Gospel of healing the demon-possessed from the land of Gadara and about the choice of communion with God.

"What do we choose? Do we choose the soul of our fellow men? Do we choose God? Or do we choose, many times, the things of this world, a bag of silver, maybe even earned by violating the laws and commandments of God?", PS Teofil Trotușanu asked the believers.

Followers of the Savior The hierarch explained that the struggle for the salvation of the soul is permanent and urged the faithful to choose following Christ instead of sin.

Mulțumesc pentru articol. M-a făcut să mă gândesc la porcul ăla din Evanghelie – oamenii din Gadara au preferat să-și păstreze turma decât pe cei doi demonizați vindecați. Întrebarea PS Teofil „ce alegem, o pungă de arginți sau pe Dumnezeu?” e simplă, dar lovește drept. Să ne ajute Bunul Dumnezeu să alegem mai bine duminica asta.

Oui, ce détail avec les porcs m’a toujours marqué aussi – les Gadaréniens ont choisi leur commerce plutôt que la délivrance des deux hommes. La question de l’évêque tombe juste, surtout quand on voit combien de fois on sacrifie la paix du cœur pour un petit gain facile. Prions pour que ce choix devienne plus clair chez moi cette semaine.
