Patronal celebration of the second cathedral city of Tyukalinsktranslated

In the city of Tyukalinsk, the Throne celebration of the Church of St. John the Baptist took place, which, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, was led by the secretary of the Tara diocese, priest Mikhail Safichuk.

Concelebrating with His Reverence were: the rector of the church and the dean of the Tyukalinsky district, Archpriest Dimitry Grishin, the cleric of the Krutinsky district, priest Alexander Pakhmurny, and the cleric of the Slavgorod diocese, priest John Kharitonov.

At the end of the liturgy, a religious procession and glorification took place in front of the main church icon.

Father Mikhail congratulated the parishioners on the Patronal Feast and read out a congratulatory address from Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, which reads in part:

“... I sincerely congratulate you on the patronal holiday - the Nativity of the honest, glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John - as well as on the significant date - the 40th anniversary of the renovation of the church, which, by the grace of God, again became the spiritual center of the second capital city of the Tara diocese - Tyukalinsk.
