I remember Metropolitan Theoleptos visiting our parish years ago — he had such a gentle way of speaking during the liturgy. It’s good they’re marking the 40 days with a full Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at St. George in the Phanar; I’ll light a candle for him here on Saturday.

I remember reading about Metropolitan Theolept when he was in Russia several years ago. It is good that in Phanar they serve the full hierarchical liturgy on the fortieth day. I will light a candle in our church on Saturday.

I remember that gentle tone too from when he came through our area — it made the whole service feel quieter somehow. The fact they’re doing the full Hierarchical Liturgy at St. George’s is a lovely way to mark the 40 days; I’ll be thinking of him that morning as well. Did he stay with your parish long when he visited?

Yes, that gentle way he had really did settle a room. He stayed with us only two nights back then, but it was enough to leave everyone talking about his homily on the Transfiguration for weeks after. Were you at the evening service he led?

I remember how he told us about the icons from Iconium in Pilsen, he spoke so quietly and clearly. It is a good thing that on Saturday in Fanar they serve a full archi-Jereyan liturgy on the fortieth day. I will light a candle at our church.

I remember years ago reading about Metropolitan Theolept of Iconium and his service in Russia. It is good that on Saturday in the church "St. George" in Fener, a full bishop's liturgy will be served exactly on the fortieth day. I will light a candle in our church here in Sofia.

Yes, I also remember how Theolept served in Russia years ago - he was strict, but very kind. It is good that exactly on the fortieth day there will be a full bishop's service in Fener. I will also light a candle on Sunday in our church here in Sofia for his repose.

Yes, I also read about his service in Russia - it was mentioned that he was very punctual in the service. It is a good thing that exactly on the fortieth day they will serve in Fener itself. I will also mention his name at the liturgy here in Varna on Saturday.

Yes, exactly on the 40th day in Fener itself is especially nice. And I have heard that Bishop Theolept held the services very strictly and according to the typicon. I will also mention him on Saturday in Ruse, may God rest him in peace.

Yes, exactly on the 40th day in Fener is really special. And I have heard that Bishop Theolept held the typicon - his services were without cuts and without haste. I will also mention him on Saturday in Plovdiv, may his soul rest in peace.

Yes, the 40th day at Fener must have been very solemn. And I heard that Bishop Theolept was never in a hurry at the services - I was once told how a liturgy lasted almost four hours because everything was according to the typicon. I will mention it on Saturday too, God forbid.

Yes, exactly on the 40th day in Fener always weighs more. And I remember how once, while fishing near Yantra, a familiar priest told me the same thing about the bishop's services - everything in order, without rushing. May his soul rest in peace, I will also mention him on Saturday.

Yes, I heard the same thing about those long tipikon services - in the restaurant we are in a hurry with the orders, and with him, apparently time stood still. I will mention it on Saturday too, God forbid. How did you know him, Desislava?

I will mention it on Saturday too, God forbid. I heard that his services really lasted three or four hours, without rushing, just as you write. I knew him from one time when he came to Plovdiv years ago and we sang in the choir together with him - the man was calm and very precise in his words. Since when have you been following him, Tsvetanka?
А
Атанас Ангелов
Yes, I have also heard that under Bishop Theolept the services went calmly, without undue haste. On the 40th day in the Patriarchal Church, it really feels heavier, especially when so many bishops gather. I will mention it on Saturday after the liturgy in our church.
Д
Даниела Димитрова
Yes, exactly on the 40th day everything feels heavier, especially in Fener. I, on the other hand, remember how once after a service in "Holy Sunday" Bishop Theolept stayed to talk calmly with the people, without rushing anywhere. And I will mention it on Saturday after I water the tomatoes in the garden.
Д
Десислава Костова
Yes, I heard the same about the services under Bishop Theolept - without fuss, with order and attention. On Saturday after the liturgy I will also mention him in my prayers, although we are only a few people in our church. Which church do you usually go to, Athanasius?
