The Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew who on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, will officiate at the Cathedral of God Sophia on the occasion of the memory of the Holy Great Martyr Nikitas of Goth. On this day Rev. Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain Mr. Nikitas.

His Holiness had visited the Archdiocese of Thyateira in October 2022 as part of the celebration of 100 years since its foundation, while in June 2025 he attended and prayed at the consecration of the new Holy Church of Agios Sophronios of Athonite in the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Forerunner in Essex.

It is good that the Patriarch will come to London again, precisely on St. Nikita. I remember him being there for the centenary in 2022, so nice that he continues to visit our brothers in Britain. I hope that this time too it will be a nice service in Saint Sophia.
