Najctihodnejší metropolita Thessaliotidos a Phanariofersalon, pán Timotheus, v pondelok, 20. júla 2026, v deň sviatku svätého slávneho proroka Helia z Thesvitosu, odslúžil v Orthose a slávil božskú liturgiu vo svätom kostole proroka Hélia z miestneho spoločenstva veriacich v prítomnosti p. úctu k úcte veľkého proroka Starého zákona a k účasti na bohoslužobnom zhromaždení Cirkvi.

Sviatok svätého proroka Hélia je každoročne osobitnou duchovnou príležitosťou pre veriacich zamyslieť sa nad dôležitosťou neotrasiteľnej viery, oddanosti Bohu a statočného vyznania pravdy. Prorok Eliáš, jedna z popredných postáv Starého zákona, zostáva nadčasovým príkladom človeka, ktorý celý svoj život zasvätil službe Bohu a neustále vyzýval ľudí k pokániu a návratu k pravému Bohu.

Na konci božskej liturgie Jeho Svätosť adresoval kongregácii otcovské učenie, pričom využil príležitosť z apoštolského čítania dňa, ktoré pochádza z katolíckeho listu apoštola Jakuba a odkazuje na proroka Eliáša. Ako napríklad…
