La fiesta del milagro de Agia Eufimia en N. Calcedoniatraducido

Solemnemente y con el debido esplendor, la fiesta de la memoria del milagro de Santa Gloriosa Gran Mártir Eufemia se celebró durante el Cuarto Sínodo Ecuménico (451) en la Santa Iglesia del mismo nombre en N. Calcedonia. El viernes 10 de julio de 2026 se celebraron las Grandes Solemnes Vísperas Sacerdotales de la festividad, presididas por el Reverendo Metropolitano de Eneos Sr. Makarios y con la participación de multitud de clérigos.

El divino discurso fue predicado por el Reverendísimo Metropolita Sr. Makarios, quien se refirió a la vida mártir de Santa Eufemia, así como a la importancia del milagro, realizado durante el IV Sínodo Ecuménico de Calcedonia.

Anteriormente, en el marco de la celebración, el Metropolita Sr. Makarios, en presencia del santo clero, acogió en los propileos de la Santa Iglesia la Santa Reliquia de Osia Matrona de Aommatos, que luego fue colocada en postración para la bendición y santificación de los fieles.

En el día principal de la fiesta, el sábado 11 de julio, el Reverendísimo Metropolitano de Nea Ionia, Filadelfia, Heraklion y Chalkidon, el Sr. Gavriil, ofició el Servicio de Ortro y luego celebró la Divina Liturgia Solemne, flanqueado por el clero tanto de la Local...

The Chalcedon miracle stays with me too, especially how the Orthodox definition landed in her right hand while the heretical one was at her feet. Yes, that line of families waiting for St. Matrona’s relic went right out to the footpath — I brought my girls along and they were impressed how quiet everyone stayed.
