Димитриадос Игнатиос: „Призовани сме да бъдем светлината на света“превод

Св. Димитрийски митрополит г-н Игнатий в присъствието на голям брой вярващи. В проповедта си Негово Високопреосвещенство се позова на Четвъртия вселенски събор, който почитаме днес, и подчерта значението му за живота на Църквата, от една страна, защото утвърждава трите предходни, а от друга страна, защото богословства за човешката и божествената природа на Христос, в чиято личност и двете съжителстват, без едното да надделява над другото.

„Така е осигурено нашето спасение“, посочи г-н Игнатий, „тъй като Христос взе човешката природа и я възкреси и ни призовава да участваме в Неговото собствено Възкресение“.

След това той се позова на словото на Господа в днешното евангелско четиво, където "християните са призвани да бъдат светлината на света. Материалната светлина ободрява и стопля. Благодарение на това има живот на земята. Но Господ говори за духовната светлина, която осветява цялото ни съществуване и става израз на нашия живот. მადლობა ამ ამბისთვის. განსაკუთრებით მომეწონა რაც იგნატიოსმა თქვა, რომ ორივე ბუნება თანაბრადაა ქრისტეში და ამიტომ გვაქვს იმედი აღდგომაზე. ძალიან კარგი კვირა იყო ამის გაგონება.

Thanks for sharing this. I really liked how Metropolitan Ignatios connected the Fourth Ecumenical Council to our own hope of resurrection — that Christ took our full human nature and raised it without one nature overpowering the other. That part about being the light of the world hit home too; it’s not just nice words, it’s a daily call to actually live the faith so others can see it.

Mulțumesc pentru articol. Mi-a plăcut cum a legat Mitropolitul Ignatios Sinodul al IV-lea de speranța noastră la Înviere – că Hristos a luat firea noastră omenească întreagă și a înviat-o fără ca una să o învingă pe cealaltă.
