Stylianos Kortas, 17 ans, est ému : il a encore mangé après deux ans – Le voyage aux États-Unis qui a changé sa vietraduit

Il a vaincu un cancer à Chypre, mais de graves complications l'ont empêché de se nourrir. Aujourd'hui, il rêve de devenir médecin, inspiré par la femme qui lui a donné la possibilité de savourer à nouveau un repas simple. Pendant deux années entières, Stylianos Kortas, 17 ans, originaire de Chypre, n'a pas pu manger une seule bouchée d'aliment solide. De graves complications liées au traitement du lymphome avaient détruit une partie importante de son système digestif, le forçant à survivre uniquement grâce à un régime liquide spécial et à un soutien intraveineux.

Sa famille avait déjà mené une énorme bataille. À seulement 14 ans, Stylianos a reçu un diagnostic de lymphome avancé et a suivi des mois de traitement. Au cours des quatre cycles de chimiothérapie, il a souffert de graves hémorragies et d’infections dangereuses, luttant plusieurs fois pour sa vie.

Grâce aux efforts des médecins de la clinique d'oncologie pédiatrique de l'hôpital Makarios, le cancer est entré en rémission. Mais l’aventure n’était pas terminée. Les complications qui s’ensuivirent ne lui permettaient plus de s’alimenter normalement, l’obligeant à perdre constamment du poids et à s’éloigner…

Ο Στυλιανός είναι πραγματικά δυνατός. Το ότι κατάφερε να φάει ξανά μετά από δύο χρόνια με υγρή διατροφή και ενδοφλέβια είναι τεράστιο. Ελπίζω να τα καταφέρει να γίνει γιατρός, όπως ονειρεύεται, και να βοηθήσει κι άλλα παιδιά.
