19 июля 2026 года, в воскресенье, в которое наша Церковь поминала святых и богобоязненных отцов IV Вселенского Синода, Высокопреосвященнейший митрополит Илионский, Ахарнский и Петропольский господин Афинагор совершил богослужение в Ортросе и совершил Божественную литургию в святом монастыре Нео Студи в Авлоне при содействии архима. Иренайос Буздекис, настоятель святого монастыря, архим. Иоаннис Рапти, генеральный архиерейский комиссар Священной Митрополии, архим. Досифео, брат святого монастыря и его диакон о. Ангелос Михалопулос. По поводу стиха из отрывка Святого Евангелия: «Вы свет миру» Его Святейшество кратко остановился на том, как члены Церкви – духовенство и миряне – должны преподнести миру светоучение Христово, чтобы не проявиться талант каждого из нас, но своим учением и примером дать место «Истинному Свету», Христу, для утешения, исцеления и спасения членов нашей Церкви, но и окружающих нас людей.
