Interesting to see the Coptic monks making the trip all the way to Nizhny Novgorod. Did they get to visit Diveyevo or was it mostly the city churches?

They made it to Diveyevo, Katherine. The report says the monks prayed at the relics of St. Seraphim and visited the Holy Trinity Monastery there before spending time at the city churches in Nizhny. I wonder if they tried the local pirozhki while they were at it.

They made it to Diveyevo—that’s the part that caught my eye. Praying at St. Seraphim’s relics must have been something special for the Coptic monks. I wonder if the abbot told them about the thousand days of potatoes the nuns ate during the worst times there.

They did make it to Diveyevo, that’s right. I’ve been there twice myself and the quiet at the relics always sticks with you. Did the report mention whether the Coptic monks stayed overnight at the monastery or just passed through for the day? The pirozhki are worth the stop either way.
