The Pantocrator Monastery in Teleorman County celebrated its patron saint dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene on Wednesday.

Numerous pilgrims came to worship the relics of Saint Myronosita Maria Magdalena in the heritage of the monastery and the miracle-working icon of the Mother of God "The Gatekeeper" of the Holy Mount Athos.

Nice to see that so many pilgrims have come to Saint Mary Magdalene, especially for her relics. I have also seen the icon of the “Portărița” from Athos in a picture in our community. Hopefully the weather was good in Teleorman.

Nice that so many pilgrims came to the remains of Saint Mary Magdalene. The Portaritissa icon by Athos is also well known here, we once had it at an exhibition in Brno. How was the weather in Teleorman, Maria?

Yes, that icon from Athos really draws people, I remember how we saw it in Brno at that exhibition - there was a queue all the way to the sidewalk. It was decently warm in Teleorman on Wednesday, around 28 degrees, but no rain, so the pilgrimage didn't matter. And were you there personally, or do you just know someone from Romania?
